Azure Synapse Analytics

Overview

We implement Synapse for teams that want Spark or pipelines and SQL analytics in one workspace. That includes serverless SQL over the lake for exploration, and a dedicated SQL pool only where a modelled warehouse is justified.

We set firewall or private access, workload groups, and a cost guard so an ad-hoc query cannot consume the pool. Engineers get a documented split between what belongs in Spark and what belongs in SQL.
