Application/API/Function monitoring
Overview
We add Application Insights to the APIs, Functions, and container apps on the data platform. Requests, dependencies, and exceptions are collected, and sampling is set so a busy API does not generate an unbounded bill.
We define availability tests where an endpoint must stay up, and we connect failures to the same action group as the rest of the platform. Correlation is checked so a Function call to SQL or Storage shows up as a dependency.
